Flud Four for Four Following Saturday Sweep at Superbowl as Laplante Also Victorious During Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Event

Inside Line Promotions – GREENVILLE, Texas (Feb. 18, 2017) – Frank Flud finished the weekend a perfect four for four during Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass competition in the Stock Non-Wing and Winged ‘A’ Class divisions during the Texas Short Track Opener at Superbowl Speedway.

Flud, who won both classes on Friday to give him 15 career series wins, swept the two divisions on Saturday and Ryder Laplante captured his second career Restricted ‘A’ Class triumph to cap the event that was co-sanctioned with the Driven Midwest NOW600 North Texas Region.

Flud lined up on the pole of the Stock Non-Wing main event thanks to his feature victory on Friday during the event opener and he never looked back en route to the trip into Inside Line Promotions Victory Lane. Stephen Smith outlasted Jason McDougal for second place with Colton Corbin ending fourth and Marcus Thomas advancing from 11th to fifth.

Smith, Kyle Jones, Nathan Berkshier and Thomas each garnered a heat race triumph. Jason Tyer and Avery Goodman were the B Main winners.

Flud also took advantage of starting from the pole position in the Winged ‘A’ class main event as he held off Thomas with Keith Martin placing third, Smith fourth and Jones fifth.

Martin, Chase Brewer, Smith and Holley Hollan were the heat race winners with Goodman and Trevor McIntire earning B Main victories.

Laplante maneuvered from sixth to earn the Restricted ‘A’ Class triumph as Chase Randall powered from eighth to the runner-up result. Daison Pursley rounded out the podium with Dylan Pendergrass finishing fourth and Gage Laney fifth.

Conner Lee, Randall and Laplante each captured a heat race victory and Brody Mclaughlin picked up the win in the B Main.

The Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass will return to action on March 3 at Wichita Falls Speedway in Iowa Park, Texas.
