Davis and Drake Record Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Series Wins at Red Dirt Raceway
Inside Line Promotions – MEEKER, Okla. (Sept. 15, 2017) – Hank Davis picked a great night to earn his first career Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass feature victory.
Davis captured the $500-to-win Winged ‘A’ Class main event on Friday night at Red Dirt Raceway, where Kale Drake also reached the Inside Line Promotions Victory Lane for the third time this season in the Restricted ‘A’ Class division.
Davis started the 20-lap Winged ‘A’ Class A Main on the inside of the second row and worked into the lead before holding off Daison Pursley for the big payday. Ryan Mushrush finished third with Avery Goodman fourth and Scott Davis fifth.
Goodman and Pursley were the heat race winners.
Drake took advantage of drawing the pole position for the 15-lap Restricted ‘A’ Class main event. Pursley placed second for the second time in the night with Gunner Bowden rounding out the podium. Preston Scheulen ended fourth and Shawn Mahaffey was fifth.
Scheulen and Bowden both claimed a heat race.
The Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series will return to action on Saturday when the series will make its first visit of the season to Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan.
The front gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with the drivers meeting at 5:30 p.m., hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
The series will hold the draw directly after the drivers meeting and it will close after the last driver present at the meeting has drawn in. If any driver is running late he or she should call Series Director Terry Mattox at 918-417-0624.
