Mahaffey Continues Hot Streak While Davis and Goodno Also Garner Lucas Oil NOW600 Series Sooner 600 Week Victories

Inside Line Promotions – MEEKER, Okla. (June 22, 2018) – Shawn Mahaffey remains undefeated in Sooner 600 Week competition as he posted his third consecutive victory on Friday night during the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by MyRacePass event at Red Dirt Raceway.

Additionally, Hank Davis recorded his third Sooner 600 Week triumph and Riley Goodno advanced into Victory Lane for the first time in his career to become the 25th different winner in series history in the Winged ‘A’ Class division.

Mahaffey won the Restricted ‘A’ Class main event from the front row for the third straight night. It marked his division-leading fourth win of the season. Chase Brown finished second with points leader Ryan Timms maneuvering from 14th to third place. Ryder Laplante placed fourth and Chase Hyland ended fifth.

Laplante, Brant Woods and Jack Hall each claimed a heat race win and Kale Drake won the B Main.

Davis produced his second Stock Non-Wing victory during the third Sooner 600 Week race after starting the A Main on the outside of the front row. Jace McIntosh rallied from eighth to second place with Daison Pursley placing third, Frank Flud fourth and points leader Daniel Shaffer rounded out the top five.

Flud, Pursley and Weston Miller were the heat race winners.

Goodno held off Flud, who is the winningest driver in series history, to capture the Winged ‘A’ Class win. Pursley posted another third-place result with Chase Randall maneuvering from 12th to fourth place and Timms from 10th to fifth.

Brad Best, Flud and points leader Jim Woods each picked up a heat race victory.

Sooner 600 Week will wrap up on Saturday at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Okla. The gates open at 5 p.m. with racing scheduled for 8 p.m. The pill draw opens at 5 p.m. with the drivers meeting at 6:30 p.m.
