2020 NOW600 Rule Books and Purse Structures Announced

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (November 20, 2020) - As the 2020 season is taking shape, officials with the National Open Wheel 600 Series has announced updated rule books and purse structure information for the upcoming season.

Please note the 2019 season rule book will still be utilized for the 2020 Tulsa Shootout on January 1-4, 2020.

Division Rule Updates:

  • Winged A-Class Weight Rule Changed from 750lbs to 775lbs.

  • Minimum age for the Winged A-Class and Stock Non-Wing is 12 years of age. No other changes.

Restricted 'A' Class: No changes.

  • All classes: If a muffler falls off the car or is not mounted in the correct spot, the car will be DQ'd for that race.

General Rule Updates:

  • National Series winged class drivers must have the top wing decal across the top wing. All classes must have the series decal in place a diagram can be found on our rules page. If a driver fails to have all required decals on and in their correct location they will lose $150 from their point fund in each offense. After the third offense the offending driver will no longer be a member in good standing and will forfeit their season championship points. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • NOW600 Series has added heat race points. 1st - 20, 2nd - 19 and so on.

  • NOW600 Series has updated the A-Main points. 1st - 100 and will go down 3 points per position until 11th place where it will decrease by 2 points per position.

  • All OFFICIAL lineups will be posted at the competition trailer on National races.

  • A-Main Laps: 1/4 miles will be 20 laps or 20 minutes. Less than 1/4 miles are 25 laps or 25 minutes.

  • On two night shows there will not be any lock ins. All drivers will race both nights. Any driver that does not race the first night will start no better than outside the invert. Example: If the invert is a 4 the best you can start is fifth. If the invert is a zero, you will retain your position earned by passing points.

PURSE UPDATES: No updates, except the first night purse has been altered.
