Kyle Spence Captures PE3 Non-Wing World Championship Opener at Circus City Speedway

PERU, Ind. (July 16, 2020) - Kyle Spence captured the Thursday night prelim victory at Circus City Speedway for the 3rd Annual Performance Electronics 600cc Non-Wing World Championship.

The Bear, Delaware driver won the 2019 event.

Topping a field of 123 entries, Spence rolled from the third starting spot of the 40-lap Performance Electronics feature event. Alex Bright who started on the pole of the 40 lapper crossed in the second spot with Brian Carber droning out the podium. Brenden Bright from ninth finished in the fourth spot with Christian Bruno making up the top five.

Tommy Kunsman ended up sixth. Camden Winter from the 20th starting spot came across in seventh. Eighth went to Brandon Rose with Robbie Smith ninth and Ryan Timms rounded out the top ten.

13 heat races were contested on the Thursday night opener which seen Todd Kirkman, Brian Carber, Aidan Salisbury, Gary Taylor, Aidan Borden, Austin Quick, Stone Sharpe, Kenton Brewer, Ron Dennis, Brenden Bright, Jacob Severn, Shawn Mahaffey and Devan Myers picking up wins.

The field was split into six qualifiers which seen, Alex Bright, Bob Bourff, Kyle Spence, Brian Carber, Tommy Kunsman and Brandon Rose topping the fields.

The lone Last Chance Qualifier victory went to Blake Pence.

Night two gets underway at 7pm with Hot Laps at 6pm.
