Winter Weather, Hazardous Road Conditions and Cold Temperatures Postpone NOW600 National Opener at Superbowl

GREENVILLE, Texas (February 15, 2021) - A late winter storm, hazardous road conditions and cold temperatures force both Superbowl Speedway and Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by the Hi Plains Building Division officials to postpone the Texas Short Track Opener for this coming Friday and Saturday.

"With many of our teams traveling from far distances, we feel like it is the best to cancel this weekends races." stated NOW600 Series Founder, Terry Mattox. "A lot of teams are still stuck at the houses and many roads are shut down due to the winter weather and there is just no way we can force these teams to endure this weather."

Superbowl Speedway has been re-scheduled for Saturday, July 24.

The NOW600 Lucas Oil Micro Sprint National Championship will now begin on February 26-27 at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas for the Inaugural Small Car Nationals.

Saturday's finale pays $1,000 to win and $100 to start for Non-Wing, A-Class, Restricted and Outlaws.

A practice and media day is set for Thursday, February 25 from 6pm to 9pm. Pit Passes are $20 for practice.

A bulletin for Little Rock is posted on our Rules/Downloads page.
