Inside Line Promotions – MEEKER, Okla. (March 6, 2021) – Daison Pursley, Garrett Benson and Jaxton Wiggs were victorious on Saturday evening during the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division season opener.

The opening round had been delayed each of the two previous weeks thanks to Mother Nature and it was pushed back one day this weekend because of inclement weather before the 2021 season officially started at Red Dirt Raceway during the 4th annual Spring Nationals.

Pursley bested 36 others in the Stock Non-Wing division for his fourth career series triumph, which moved him into a tie for fourth place on the all-time wins list. He is also the winningest driver in NOW600 Series Stock Non-Wing features at Red Dirt Raceway with three victories.

Chelby Hinton finished in the runner-up position with Frank Flud recording a third-place showing. Anton Hernandez placed fourth and Blayne Buntin charged from 14th to fifth.

Johnny Boland, Hinton, Flud and Brody Mclaughlin scored heat race wins. Glenn James Bratti and defending series champion Bradley Fezard each won a B Main.

Benson hustled to his first career series victory during Winged ‘A’ Class action. Jade Avedisian, who won the series championship last year, ended second with Kyle Thompson, Justis Sokol and 11th-starting Trey Zorn rounding out the top five, respectively.

Benson, Sokol, Pursley, Avedisian and Sam Holt were the heat race winners. Kenton Brewer and Corbin Rueschenberg captured B Main victories.

Wiggs is a first-time NOW600 Series winner thanks to the Restricted ‘A’ Class triumph. A total of eight different drivers have earned a series win in the division during 11 races contested at Red Dirt Raceway with Wiggs being the latest to join the group.

Benson posted a second-place outing with Sokol third, Jett Nunley fourth and Abigayle Lett fifth.

Scout Spraggins, Wiggs and Lett claimed heat race wins. Cooper Sullivan rallied from 11th for the B Main victory.

The Spring Nationals concludes on Sunday afternoon. The pits open at 11 a.m. and the main gates at 12:30 p.m. Racing is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, $5 for high school students and younger, and $30 for a pit pass.
