Boschele, Flud and Benson Produce Lucas Oil NOW600 Series Wins During Oil Capital Clash Finale at Port City Raceway

Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (May 8, 2021) – Gavan Boschele, Frank Flud and Garrett Benson are Oil Capital Clash champions as all three drivers scored Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division victories on Saturday night during the fifth edition of the marquee event hosted by Port City Raceway.

Boschele topped more than 40 drivers to garner his first career series triumph during Stock Non-Wing competition at the dirt oval. Trey Robb posted a runner-up result with Daniel Shaffer third, 15th-starting Kris Carroll fourth and Chelby Hinton fifth.

Colby Sokol, Connor Lee, Ryker Pace, Kobe Simpson and Jace Park each won a heat race. Carroll and Flud were the B Main winners.

Flud garnered his third Winged ‘A’ Class victory of the season during the sixth race of the year for the series. Josh Marcham earned a second-place result with Laydon Pearson rounding out the podium. Carroll was fourth and Lee ended fifth.

Park, Noah Key, Cole Roberts and Pace picked up heat race triumphs. Corbin Rueschenberg and Garrett Hulsey split the B Main wins.

Benson bested Braxton Wilson for his second NOW600 Series Restricted ‘A’ Class win of the season, which is tied for the most. Jett Nunley finished third with Justis Sokol fourth and Rueschenberg fifth.

Billy Lieb, Chase Wright, Chase McDougal and William Conner captured heat race victories. Kaley Mahaffey and Jaxton Wiggs pocketed B Main triumphs.

The NOW600 Series will be off for the next month until Sooner 600 Week begins on June 9 at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan.
