Miller, Boland and Nunley Cap Lucas Oil NOW600 Series Sooner 600 Week With Wins at Creek County as Miller, Rueschenberg and Turner Claim Championships

Inside Line Promotions – SAPULPA, Okla. (June 13, 2021) – Gavin Miller, Johnny Boland and Jett Nunley wrapped up the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division Sooner 600 Week in style by winning the finale on Sunday evening at Creek County Speedway.

Miller was the Stock Non-Wing Sooner 600 Week champion with Corbin Rueschenberg claiming the Winged ‘A’ Class title and Talin Turner the Restricted ‘A’ Class crown. It marked the first Sooner 600 Week championship for each driver.

Miller maneuvered from sixth to earn his third Sooner 600 Week triumph during the five-race, five-day spectacle. Points leader Chelby Hinton recorded a runner-up result with Boland placing third, Kenton Brewer fourth and 17th-starting Tim Vaught fifth.

Boland, Hinton and Miller each won a heat race.

Boland produced his second Sooner 600 Week Winged ‘A’ Class victory after lining up on the pole. Joey Starnes was the second-place finisher with Garrett Benson ending third, 10th-starting Rueschenberg fourth and Colby Sokol fifth.

Starnes, Trey Zorn and Benson posted heat race triumphs.

Nunley garnered his third Restricted ‘A’ Class win during Sooner 600 Week. Rueschenberg drove to a second-place effort with Turner netting a third-place result. Justis Sokol charged from 11th to fourth and Benson, who is the points leader, rounded out the top five.

Elijah Gile, Nunley, Rueschenberg and Kaley Mahaffey produced heat race wins. Abigayle Lett captured the B Main.

The next NOW600 Series race is July 13 (Stock Non-Wing only) at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Okla.
